Community Action

We are focused on building a large, integrated safety net to prevent individuals and families from falling through the cracks in society.

At this time, we’re building the Community Gardens:

  • Gardeners
  • People willing to donate spots on the their property for community gardens
  • People who want to work in the gardens in exchange for fresh food for themselves and their families
  • Families, because gardening is kid-friendly and everyone is welcome!
  • People who’d like to learn how to garden for pleasure or for self-sufficiency

We can use your help! Our Safety Net Program is multifaceted, so we’re confident you’ll find a place to connect and build a new and better future for all of us. And if you’re a gardener or simply want to learn more about self-sufficiency, come out to our Community Garden Events!

We look forward to building strong, caring, mutually supportive and resilient communities in the eastern panhandle. We encourage everyone who feels that mutual support and caring about your neighbor are vital for thriving communities to join us!
